Bettie Tuttle: Small In Stature, Great in Spirit and Integrity
Bettie Tuttle was honored on May 25, 2022 at the Lexington Public Library, Eastside Branch. Bettie, a long-time member of the Lexington Chapter and retired elementary teacher, left a bequest to the library. The children's section was dedicated in her name. Members of the Lexington Chapter there to honor Bettie's memory were: Regent Clara Wilson, Vice Regent Judy Owens, Recording Secretary Amelia Wisner, Historian Mary Van Kesteren and Vickie Boatwright Canham, National Vice-Chair for American Heritage. Bettie died in 2018. In addition to her family history work, she traveled extensively, including three trips behind the Iron Curtain to Russia.
